Battery size and usable capacity
- What is the nameplate kWh and usable kWh after depth-of-discharge limits?
- Is the battery sized for backup hours, bill savings, or both?
- Does the quote assume one battery or a stackable system?
- What happens to usable capacity after warranty-year degradation assumptions?
Backup loads and electrical design
- Which circuits or loads are backed up: refrigerator, lights, internet, HVAC, well pump, garage door?
- Are any loads 240V, hardwired, or high startup surge?
- Is a critical-load panel, load center, or whole-home backup configuration included?
- Who confirms voltage, transfer switch, and code requirements — installer or electrician?
Price, warranty, and performance claims
- Is battery cost shown as a separate line item from solar?
- What warranty covers the battery, inverter, and installation workmanship?
- Are backup hours or outage runtime claims labeled as estimates, not guarantees?
- Does the proposal explain whether the battery improves payback, resilience, or both?
